Nancy Njehia

Employment Programs Officer

Nancy Wangui Njehia is a dedicated and results-driven professional with over 7 years of experience in project management, program development, and community empowerment. As the Employment Programs Officer at Ngong Road Children’s Foundation (NRCF), In her role, she leads the design and evaluation of NRCF’s alumni employment programs, ensuring that students are well-equipped to enter the workforce as well as securing job placements and internships for alumni.
Born and raised in a rural village in Murang’a County, Nancy was fortunate to grow up in a family that deeply valued education. Her parents and siblings supported her dreams, enabling her to pursue a BSc. in Community Resource Management at Kenyatta University. It was through having access to opportunities that many in her community did not have that Nancy was inspired to dedicate her life to serving the underprivileged. Her own experiences with family and community have fueled her passion for creating opportunities for others, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Nancy’s expertise spans program management, impact assessment, fundraising, stakeholder relationship management, and team leadership. She is passionate about driving positive change in communities and creating opportunities for youth economic empowerment.
Prior to joining NRCF, Nancy worked with organizations such as Macheo Children’s Organization and Caritas, where she led needs assessments, impact evaluations, and fundraising initiatives. She has also successfully facilitated programs in child protection, governance, health and nutrition, and economic empowerment, always ensuring that the programs she managed aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.
Driven by a personal mission to create opportunities for those who need them most, Nancy continues to be a force for positive change in the lives of the youth she serves.
