Princess

Princess lives with her family, which includes her mother, father, and two elder brothers in their modest home. Her mother works as a casual laborer, to provide food for the family. Her father, unable to find employment nearby, works as a security guard in a different county. The family’s combined earnings are insufficient to cover all their needs, often forcing difficult choices between paying rent and buying food.

Despite these hardships, Princess remains hopeful and dedicated to her education. She cherishes the few books her parents have bought her and uses them to study at home, holding on to the hope that one day she will be able to attend school full-time. Princess particularly enjoys studying English and Kiswahili and speaks both languages well for her age.

At home, she helps her mother with house chores and has developed a fondness for cooking. She can prepare basic meals, with chapatti and meat being her favorite. Princess also loves playing with her best friend and other neighborhood children, often engaging in games like hide and seek.

An artistic and creative soul, Princess is captivated by the color purple, which she frequently uses in her drawings. She finds joy in listening to music and dancing, learning new moves from her school’s dance team, even though she is not a member yet. Getting a sponsor will allow her to fulfill her dreams.

She dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up, driven by a desire to help others in need. She understands the value of education and knows it is the key to achieving her goals. Princess’s story is one of resilience and unwavering hope, a testament to her strong spirit and determination to overcome the challenges she faces.

Bevine

Bevine is a vibrant girl known for her bright mind and love for learning. She lives with her family of four in a small house. The lack of furniture highlights the challenging circumstances they face. Her parents, both casual workers, struggle to provide for the family, making it difficult to cover basic needs.

Despite these hardships, Bevine is a beacon of hope and determination. She cherishes reading and spends her time immersed in the few books she owns, believing that education is the key to a successful future. English and mathematics are her favorite subjects, and she excels in them whenever she gets to attend school. Her academic prowess is complemented by her talent in athletics, where she stands out as one of the best athletes in her school.

Bevine’s social nature makes her well-liked among her peers. She enjoys playing with her best friend, who lives just a few blocks away, and other neighborhood friends. Cats are her favorite pets; she adores their soft fur and cleanliness.

Her proactive and go-getter attitude is evident in her daily life. At home, she willingly helps her mother with basic chores. Her leadership skills and excellent performance earned her the position of class monitor. Bevine’s love for the color red symbolizes her courage and boldness. Unlike many children, she prefers eating vegetables over sweets and snacks.

Getting a sponsor will make Bevine’s dreams of becoming a doctor to help those in need of medical care and to lift her family out of poverty come true. Her compassionate nature and determination make her a remarkable young girl, poised for a bright future.

Antony

Antony understands the profound impact of education on shaping one’s future. Despite the challenges, Anthony remains resilient, finding solace in studying the few books he owns and expressing his creativity through drawing. He has a penchant for vibrant colors, particularly orange, which he associates with sweetness and vitality. Even though oranges aren’t his mother’s merchandise, Anthony prioritizes his health by choosing fruits over candies whenever possible.

Ugali and meat, complemented by vegetables, constitute Anthony’s favorite meal, reflecting his awareness of the importance of nutrition. His friendship with his best friend is a source of support and companionship, as they engage in imaginative play and creative projects together.

Anthony’s passion for learning is evident in his enthusiasm for mathematics and English, taught by his caring and dedicated teacher. Inspired by his teacher’s encouragement to excel academically and contribute to their family, Anthony aspires to become a doctor. He dreams of a future where he can provide for his loved ones and offer assistance to those in need, nurturing the hope that someday, he too will have the opportunity to pursue his education fully and make a difference in his community.
